The school bells have rung, signaling the beginning of the holiday season, and that means that your children are likely already getting into your hair. We’ve gone ahead and curated a list of activities for you to burn off some of their energy so that you and the older family members can experience peace and quiet a little earlier in the evening, and enjoy a hot toddy or nightcap by the fire.

Canmore Museum – Learn the history of our wonderful little mountain town. Wander the displays and the gift shop for special souvenirs or last-minute gifts!
Tour Canmore – check out the experiences of winter that will make lasting memories. So many adventures to do with the whole family!
Rebound Cycle – Offers winter fat biking rentals which can be used on the extensive trail network around Canmore.
Canmore Nordic Centre – Take the kids out tobogganing, and even get in on the activities yourself, or try out
Sugar Pine or the Dollar Store (820 Main St) can help you get crafty for the afternoon – with plenty of supplies and great ideas!
Café Books is one of the few independently owned bookstores left in Canada – a great selection for all ages and a great place to explore.
And don’t forget shopping for treats – Olde Thyme Candy Store and Timothy’s on Main Street – for children and those who still want to be!
Otherwise, head into your backyard and build a snowman, play hide-and-seek, or hold a mashup of capture the flag meets snowball fight, and become a kid again yourself; if only for the afternoon!
