Visiting Downtown Canmore in the fall is one of the most beautiful, relaxing, and family-friendly activities to do throughout the Bow Valley. With festivals, the seasonal colour changes, adventures, delicious new menu items, and hundred of perfect locally-made gift items to explore – there’s always a reason to explore Downtown Canmore.
Of course, with this option being at the top of many people’s lists, it can get a bit busy and parking often becomes a challenge. This year, we invite you to put more time back into your exploring schedule by choosing to Roam.
Roam is the public transit system for the towns of Canmore and Banff. As of 2019, there are ten routes: five that operate year-round and five that operate seasonally.
Specifically, the Roam 5 local Canmore route will get you downtown, easily and safely. So, whether you’re visiting the sights, grabbing a bite, or commuting for work, catch a ride on one of Roam’s environment-friendly hybrid buses for a fun and convenient way to get around.
The best part? The Roam 5 Canmore route is entirely FREE!
So whether you are exploring solo, brought the whole family, or just need to get around – leave your vehicle behind and climb aboard. Roam’s friendly drivers are always ready to help you to where you want to go.
In the event you are still searching for parking, we encourage you to explore a few alternative parking areas: most of which are about a 5-minute walk to Canmore’s Downtown core.
- Home Hardware Parking Lot
- Behind Save-On-Foods
- Canmore Rec Centre
- CCHS – Canmore Collegiate
On your next visit to Downtown Canmore, make the most of it, and remember your option to Roam – jump aboard and enjoy the views. We can’t wait to see you soon!
