The Canmore Winter Carnival kicks off February 1st, 2019, which is only a few days away! This is an outdoor event and all ages are welcome, but be sure to dress warmly as a cold snap is coming through the Bow Valley.

Winter Carnival Kick Off
Canmore Civic Centre
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Kick off Winter Carnival at the Civic Centre. Community sculpture unveiling and art activities.

Saturday, February 2
Community Playday
Canmore Civic Centre Plaza
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us for a day of winter fun: kids’ ice carving, bonfires, games and more.
Mut Hut Emporium Pooch Parade – 1 p.m.
Locals dogs and their owners wearing the latest in winter fashion.
To register email sales@muthut.com:
Dogs name, age, breed(s), where they live, a short “bio” with some fun. ie favourite toy, favourite pass time. etc.
Meet at the Mut Hut between 12:00 and 12:30 pm
You will all leave together to the staging area 1/2 a block away.
Event starts at 1:00 pm. This is an outdoor event so please ensure you and your pet dress for the weather!

Snowy Owl Kid N Mutt Races & Fun at the Pond
The Pond on 7th Ave
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Maple Taffy, Human Curling, Music, Bonfires, Live Music.

Families or individual teams of kids and sled dogs race down the track … nail-biting action.
10 a.m. – 12 noon 5 & 6 year olds
12 noon – 2 p.m. 7 to 9 year olds
3 p.m. – 5 p.m. 10 to 12 year olds
5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Families compete for first place.
